1. Information We Collect. When you opt in to PAWS Alert by texting JOIN [SECTIONCODE] [JOINCODE] to (865) 381-3222, we collect your mobile phone number, the section code you joined, the date and time of your opt-in, and the content of your inbound message as your consent record.
2. How We Use Your Information. Your phone number is used solely to deliver SMS notifications related to your enrolled section(s) at Pellissippi State Community College. We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to academic and emergency communications.
3. Information Sharing. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your mobile phone number or any personal information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number may be processed by Twilio, Inc. as our SMS delivery provider, solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Data Retention. Your enrollment record is retained for compliance and auditing purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. Opt-out requests via STOP are processed immediately.

4. Fees. PAWS Alert is provided free of charge by Pellissippi State Community College. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
